David Sacks: ‘The War In Ukraine Is Based On Lies’

A WAR OF LIES:

The war in Ukraine is based on lies — lies about how it started, how it’s going, and how it will end.

We are told that Ukraine is winning when in fact it is losing. We are told that the war makes NATO stronger when in fact it is depleting it. We are told that Ukraine’s biggest problem is a lack of funds from the U.S. Congress when in fact the West can’t produce enough ammunition — a problem that will take years to fix. We are told that Russia is suffering greater casualties when in fact Ukraine is running out of soldiers — another problem money can’t fix.

We are told that the world is with us when in fact the Global Majority believes U.S. policy is the height of folly. We are told that there is no opportunity to make peace when in fact we have rejected multiple opportunities for a negotiated settlement. We are told that if Ukraine keeps fighting, it will improve its negotiating position when in fact the terms will only get much worse than what was already available and rejected.

Nevertheless the lies will succeed in dragging out the war. Congress will appropriate more funds. Russia will take more territory. Ukraine will mobilize more young men and women to feed into the meat grinder. Discontent will mount. Eventually there will be a crisis in Kiev and the Zelensky government will be toppled.

And then, when the war is finally lost, when the whole country lays in smoldering ruins on a funeral pyre of their own making, the liars will say “well we tried.” Having prevented any alternative, having smeared anyone who told the truth as puppets for the enemy, the liars will say “We did our best. We stood up to Putin.”

In fact, they will claim, we would have succeeded but for the fifth column of Putin apologists who stabbed the Ukrainians in the back. Then, having shifted blame and patted themselves on the back, they will blithely move on to the next war, as they moved onto Ukraine after their disasters in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The lies are comprehensive — but they will work.

Elon Musk: ‘I Have Always Wondered Why NATO Continues To Exist’

Elon Musk echoed the sentiments expressed by American investor David Sacks on X concerning the post-Soviet era of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Sacks pointed out that following the collapse of the USSR, NATO persisted and, instead of disbanding, redirected its focus towards expansion into former Warsaw Pact countries. This shift in purpose transformed NATO into what Sacks described as a hostile entity.

In agreement with Sacks’ observations, Musk commented, “Really. I have always wondered why NATO continues to exist, even though its enemy and the reason for its existence, the Warsaw Pact Organization, has collapsed.”

Musk questioned the ongoing relevance of NATO in the absence of its original adversary.

‘Everything We Have Heard About What’s Happening In Ukraine Is a Lie.’

Maria Mateiciuc: “I just got back from Ukraine, where I was visiting some friends.

Everything we have heard about what’s happening in Ukraine is a lie.

The reality is darker, bleaker, and unequivocally hopeless. There is no such thing as Ukraine “winning” this war.

  • By their estimates, they have lost over one million of their sons, fathers and husbands; an entire generation is gone.
  • Even in the Southwest, where the anti-Russian sentiment is long-standing, citizens are reluctant or straight-up scared to publicly criticize Zelensky; they will go to jail.
  • In every village and town, the streets, shops, and restaurants are mostly absent of men.
  • The few men who remain are terrified of leaving their homes for fear of being kidnapped into conscription. Some have resorted to begging friends to break their legs to avoid service.
  • Army search parties take place early in the morning, when men leave their homes to go to work. They ambush and kidnap them off the streets and within 3-4 hours they get listed in the army and taken away straight to the front lines with minimal or no training at all; it is “a death sentence.”
  • It’s getting worse every day. Where I was staying, a dentist had just been taken by security forces on his way to work, leaving behind two small children. Every day, 3-5 dead bodies keep arriving from the front lines.
  • Mothers and wives fight tooth and nail with the armed forces, beg and plead not to have their men taken away. They try bribing, which sometimes works, but most of the time they are met with physical violence and death threats.
  • The territory celebrated as having been “won back” from Russia has been reduced to rubble and is uninhabitable. Regardless, there is no one left to live there and displaced families will likely never return.
  • They see the way the war has been reported, at home and abroad. It’s a “joke” and “propaganda.” They say: “Look around: is this winning?”.
  • Worse, some have been hoaxed into believing that once Ukrainians forces are exhausted, American soldiers will come in to replace them and “win the war”.

There is no ambiguity in these people. The war was for nothing – a travesty. The outcome always was, and is, clear. The people are hopeless, utterly destroyed, and living in an unending nightmare.

They are pleading for an end, any end – most likely the same “peace” that could have been achieved two years ago. In their minds, they have already lost, for their sons, fathers and husbands are gone, and their country has been destroyed. There is no “victory” that can change that.

Make no mistake, they are angry with Putin. But they are also angry with Zelensky and the West. They have lost everything, worst of all, hope and faith, and cannot comprehend why Zelenky wishes to continue the current trajectory, the one of human devastation.

I didn’t witness the war; but what I saw was absolutely heart-breaking.”

Shame on the people, regardless of their intentions, who have supported this war. And shame on the media for continuing to lie about it.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna: ‘To Whoever Leaked My Bill’

GOP Representative Anna Paulina Luna has proposed a bill that would force members of Congress who support Senator Chuck Schumer’s $60 billion military aid package for Ukraine to serve on the front lines of the conflict. Luna’s bill aims to hold lawmakers accountable for their support of significant taxpayer funds for military aid to counter Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

Anna Paulina Luna: Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 13th district

Since Vladimir Putin’s invasion, the United States has provided approximately $75 billion in military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Congress is currently engaged in a fierce fight to provide an additional $60 billion.

The SCHUMER Act, also known as the Senators Can Help Underpin Military Engagement and Readiness Act, would mandate that supporters of military assistance serve “not fewer than six months to active duty in support of a contingency operation.”

If additional members would like to be original co-sponsors of the measure, Luna’s office has requested them to sign on by February 12.

Schumer gave an interview to MSNBC in which he warned that if Ukraine did not engage in fighting, the United States could soon have boots on the ground to fight Russia in Eastern Europe.

‘If we don’t aid Ukraine, Putin will walk all over Ukraine, we will lose the war, and we could be fighting in Eastern Europe in a NATO ally in a few years. Americans won’t like that,’ the New York Democrat said.

After Schumer’s interview, Luna posted on Twitter, “In honor of Chuck Schumer, I’ll be introducing a bill that will require any politician who advocates for sending American troops to Ukraine to be required to fight on the front lines with them.”

To whoever leaked my bill:

Congratulations, you played yourself.

I make no apologies. My bill, the SCHUMER Act, would require Members of Congress to fight on the front lines in Ukraine if they support Schumer’s calls for American sons & daughters to fight.
